Southern Fairies – The African Saga

When a troubled teenager inherits a strange, timeworn journal, he expects family secrets – but not a doorway to another world. Hidden between its pages is the key to a forgotten fairy realm, one filled with fantastical magic, folklore monsters, and hybrid fairy creatures who aren’t sure they can trust humans. Drawn into a quest he never asked for, he forms unlikely friendships, faces enemies born from myth, and begins to see himself differently for the first time.

As the journey comes close to an end, the real challenge begins. With the human world pulling him back and the fairy world desperate for a protector, he must decide where he truly belongs. Because some stories don’t end when the quest is over – and some choices can change more than one world forever.

About the Author

Meet Dalton

Dalton lives in South Africa, where the warm fires in a bushveld surrounding, and old folk tales have always felt close enough to touch. Southern Fairies – The African Saga began as a single sketch in the margin of a notebook – a question about what might be living just out of sight in the wild places we think we already know.

Drawing on Southern African landscapes and folklore, Dalton builds worlds where myth and the modern world sit side by side – and where the creatures hiding in the margins might just be more real than they seem.

“I wanted to write the kind of book I’d have wanted to fall into as a teenager – one where the magic felt like it could be just behind the next tree.”

An old journal. A hidden doorway. An incomplete realm of hybrid fairy beings and creatures who aren’t sure they can trust humans – and one troubled teenager who might be theiru00a0only hope.
